Assists in the development, provision and evaluation of professional development activities and ensures that best practices are employed which have the maximum impact. Selects and provides professional development and support to Lead Counselors for elementary, middle, and high school Audits suicide risk checklists, monitors trends, maintains database of suicide risk checklists, and trains school counselors on district protocols Facilitates the implementation of the American School Counselor National Model Leads counseling support as a member of the crisis intervention team, assigning roles to support staff, as necessary Assists with the development on yearly counseling goals for each school and periodically reviews progress of goals Serve as liaison between school district and local colleges and universities Participates in activities that assure continued awareness of improved counseling programs and strategies.
